In Right Triangle ADF, we find the length of DF using Pythagoras Theorem.


10^2=8^2+|DF|^2\\|DF|=√(100-64) =√(36) =6cm

Therefore:

Base of the Parallelogram =|DF|+|FC| =6+8=14cm

Area of a Parallelogram=Base X Height

Therefore, Area of ABCD=14 X 8
