A state seal, which is round, hangs in the capitol building. It has a radius of 3 feet. What is the seal's area? Use 3.14 for ​.

the area of a circle is

pi×r²

with r being the radius.

so, in our case we have

pi × 3² = pi × 9 = 28.27433388... ft²

when using 3.14 for pi we get 28.26 ft²
