Like any other equation, you are trying to get x by itself.

Our first step will be to subtract 13 from both sides.

-7x + 13 > 41

-7x > 28

Now, we will need to divide -7 from both sides. But, remember, dividing or multiplying a negative number will switch, or flip, the sign.

-7x/-7 > 28/-7

Doing the above equation will provide us with x all alone on one side:

x < -4
