9 2/11 - 3 5/11 = 5 8/11
First, you need to set the problem up. Then, borrow from the 9, as 2/11 is less than 5/11. Your problem should now be 8 13/11 minus 3 5/11, which is easy to solve! Your answer is 5 8/11.
