Answer:

35%

Explanation:

Total no of advertisement = 600

Percentage advertisement out of first 200 in color = 30%

30% of 200 = 30/100 * 200 = 60

Therefore out of first 200, 60 are in color.

________________________________________________________

Percentage advertisement out of next 300 in color = 20%

20% of 300 = 20/100 * 300 = 60

Therefore out of next 200, 60 are in color.

________________________________________________________

Percentage advertisement out of last 100 in color = 90%

90% of 100 = 90/100 * 100 = 90

Therefore out of last 100, 90 are in color.

Total colored advertisement will be sum of 60, 60, 90 advertisement out of first , second and third set of advertisement sold.

which is = 60 + 60 + 90 = 210.

Therefore 210 out of total 600 advertisements sold were in color.

percentage of colored advertisements out of total advertisements will

= (colored advertisements/total advertisements )* 100

substituting the value of colored advertisements sold(210) and total advertisements (600 ) in above expression we have

percentage of colored advertisements out of total advertisements will

= (210/600 )* 100 = 35%

Hence , 35% of the 600 advertisements were in color
