Will a birth control pill protect the user from getting AIDS/HIV? Why or why not?

No. Ice control only prevents sperm from engaging with an egg.

HIV travels in semen and is also in the mucus of the vagina if a condom is worn then there is a preventative measure for HIV. But birth control gives no protection to any sexually transmitted diseases.

No because AIDS/HIV are from contact with the areas, the birth control is for yourself and hormones it dosent protect from aids or hiv. It’s just like if you take birth control you’ll still get the flu.
