Ps this is not a multiple choice, all u need to do is solve the two questions. However if you can't u can just solve one of them. Thank you.

There are 72 students in the seventh-grade class and 66 students in the eighth-grade class at DEMS

a. What percent is the seventh-grade class of the eighth-grade class at DEMS?

b. Mrs Barnhouse will have to increase the number of eighth-grade teachers next year if the seventh-grade enrollment exceeds 110% of the current eighth-grade enrollment. Will she need to increase the number of teachers? Explain your reasoning.

Answer:

a. 109%

b. No

Explanation:

a.

to work out what the percentage of seventh grade students of the eighth g students is, divide the 7G students by the 8G students,

72 รท 66 = 1.09 (to convert to a percentage, multiply by 100)

1.09 x 100 = 109% (percentage of 7G students)

b.

assuming that the grade is the same size the next year, the G7 will not need another teacher as they have not exceeded 110% (they have exceeded 109%)

I hope this was helpful :-)
