5y - 7x = 12 ---------------(ii)

Add equation (i) & (ii)

(i) 2y + 7x = -5

(ii) 5y - 7x = 12 { x will be eliminated}

7y = 7

y = 7/7

y =1

Plugin the value of y in equation (i)

2*1 + 7x = -5

2 +7x = -5

7x = -5-2

7x = -7

x = -7/7

x = -1
