If you've ever touched a traditional-style lightbulb, you probably noticed that they can get very hot. Does this mean the wires in lightbulbs are are more like good conductors or insulators (do they have very low or very high resistance to electric current)?

It means they have very high resistance.

High resistance means the power cannot fully pass through the wire. Some of the power is lost in the form of light, heat, etc.

Low resistance means the current fully passes through. The wire would then stay cold and nice.
