What is x(x+5)?? I'm so confused​

Answer:

x²+5x

Explanation:

Step 1: x multiplied by x equals x to the second power or x²

Step 2: x multiplied by 5 equals 5x or 5x

Step 3: Since you used the Distributive Property take away the x outside the parenthesis

And because x² can't combine with 5x the answer would be x²+5x

Explanation:

It is saying you multiply x times (x+5) so you distribute the x to both of the numbers in the parenthesis ending up with x^2 + 5x
