Answer:

i) If you randomly pick 2 gum balls from the drawer, the probability that one will be green and the other will be blue is 2/33

ii)The probability that you will pick 3 yellow gum balls in a row is 3/28

Explanation:

Number of green gum balls = 4

Number of blue gum balls = 7

Number of yellow gum balls = 11

Total number of balls = 4+7+11=22

If you randomly pick 2 gum balls from the drawer

We are supposed to find the probability that one will be green and the other will be blue

Probability of getting green ball =
(4)/(22)

Probability of getting blue ball =
(7)/(21)

So,the probability that one will be green and the other will be blue =
(4)/(22) * (7)/(21) = (2)/(33)

Probability that you will pick 3 yellow gum balls in a row =
(11)/(22) * (10)/(21) * (9)/(20)=(3)/(28)

i) If you randomly pick 2 gum balls from the drawer, the probability that one will be green and the other will be blue is 2/33

ii)The probability that you will pick 3 yellow gum balls in a row is 3/28
