Consider the diversity of the later Homo species discussed in this lab. Why do you think our direct ancestor survived when the other species (or subspecies) went extinct? (0.25 points) Be sure to describe specific physical or behavioral characteristics that you think may have made our human ancestor better adapted than the other species. Step-by-step explanation:

Homo sapiens has dominated the world because of the features they evolved to adapt in the living conditions.

The physical characteristics that are developed by the Homo sapiens are:

1. Bipedalism- enabled the species to survive in grasslands and forests, to run after the prey to eat them.

2. Brain size- the increased size of the brain allowed the species to understand and analyse the world from a new perspective.

3. The use of hands as a tool to use the natural resources.

4. Sexual dimorphism- allowed the species to raise babies with more care.
