Soln:

5x+3y=7

(5x+3y)×5=7×5

25x+15y=35,eq.1

3x-5y=(-23)

(3x-5y)×3=-23×3

9x-15y=(-69)

Adding both equations,

25x+15y=35

9x-15y=(-69)

34x=(-34)

x=(-1)

5x+3y=7

(-5)+3y=7

3y=12

y=4
