Frequency (y) varies inversely with wavelength (x). Find the frequency (measured in THz ) of blue light if its k value is 175,720 and its wavelength is 230 meters. (Round to nearest whole number if necessary)

We have been that frequency (y) varies inversely with wavelength (x).

We know that two inversely proportional quantities are in form
a=(k)/(b), where a is inversely proportional to b and k is constant of variation.

Our required equation would be
y=(k)/(x).

To find frequency of blue light, we will substitute
k=175,720 and
x=230 in our equation as:

y=(175,720)/(230)

y=764

Therefore, the frequency of blue light is 764.
