Explain the difference between a religious group and an ethnic group.

Religious groups all have a common belief that they all share either a god or a type of being that they respect, pray, and love while Ethnic groups don't share these same religious ideologies and beliefs. Ethnic groups all share common practices within each other like traditions, language, customs, and ancestors. So the difference here is shown it is that ethnic groups can change because they are ethnicity like Spanish/Hispanic/Latino while religion can be changed because anyone can be in religion no matter what ethnicity, or race. But with ethnicity is people who are of that ethnic background who are considered to be in an ethnic group.
