Answer:

36 ( or possibly sqrt (2754) )

Explanation:

Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the missing side (you will have to try two different times because you do not know what is missing....a leg or the hypotenuse)

27^2 + 45^2 = x^2 x = sqrt2754=52.4786 although this is one true answer, I do not think it is what the question seeks

let's try

27^2 + x^2 = 45^2 x = 36 Check !
