1. Why do you think people dream? What purpose does it serve? What kinds of things influence your dreams? Also, how would you characterize the difference between your daydreams and the dreams you have while you're asleep?

I don’t know if this helps buts I think when you have nightmares it’s your brains way of preparing for dangerous situations. I’ve also heard dreams are a way of dealing with things subconsciously. The difference between daydreams and dreams you have when you’re asleep is the conscious control you have over daydreams. When you’re dreaming while you’re asleep you mostly don’t have control over the dream. Daydreaming is where you have control and can create a perfect scenario.

I think people dream because their in a deep sleep while their mind still runs. I dont know if it has a purpose but I believe its to keep us from waking. Uhm bad days or weird memories influence my dreams.... & daydreaming is more like being awake still just hard on thinking. Dreams are actually like your not moving, eyes not open, you kinda seem dead which makes it a deeper sleep
