Let's say we have two similar shapes. We'll call them Shape 1 and Shape 2. Shape 1 have the following characteristics: P1 = 22 m, A1 = 24 sq. m. We also know that Shape 2 has an area of 600 sq. m. What is the perimeter of Shape 2?

Answer:

550 meters

Explanation:

We know that the perimeter is the sum of all the sides and the area is determined depending on the figure, not knowing the shape of the figures, there are no relationships between them, therefore, we will do is a rule of three.

Perimeter Area

Shape 1 22 24

Shape 2 x 600

x = 600 * 22/24

x = 550

therefore, the perimeter of figure 2 is 550 m
