What is the significance of Old Man Warner’s reaction to Mr. Adams stating, “…that over in the north village they’re talking of giving up the lottery” (4)? What does Old Man Warner’s reaction reveal about his character and his values? Cite specific evidence from the text. the lottery by shirley jackson

Old Man Warner's reaction reveals that he is a person who keeps rituals/traditions going and sees other who don't as an "below the average" type of person. He is the type of man who keeps his word.

I don't have the story with me but I have read the lottery for an English assignment last week and cite Old Man Warner's response to Mr. Adams statement.
