The image of this question is missing so i have attached it.

Answer:

Tine spent = 130 ft

Explanation:

From the image, i run 40% of a circle of radius 225 ft.

We know that Circumference of a circle is given by;

C = 2πr

So,at 40%,

C = 0.4*2*π*225

C = 565.49 ft

So, the perimeter of the baseball field will now be sum of the Circumference and the 2 radius lengths in the image.

Thus, Perimeter = 565.49 + 300 + 300 = 1165.49 ft

Since i run round the perimeter at the rate of 9ft/s;

Thus, time spent = perimeter/rate

Time spent = 1165.49/9 = 129.5 ft ≈ 130 ft

You run around the perimeter of the baseball field at a rate of 9 ft. per second. How-example-1
