Can someone please check my answer?

If f(x) =x²−4x+ 4, then f(x+ 2) = ?

(A)x²−4x+ 8
(B)x²+ 4
(C)x²−4x+ 6
(D)x²−4x−4
(E)x² (This is the answer I chose. Am I correct? If not, can you please explain the process I need to do to get the right answer?)

Hi
we can write: f(x)= (x-2)^2
So for f(x+2), we replace x in f(x) by x+2
That means: f(x+2)= (x+2-2)^2=x^2.
Then the answer is x^2 and you are right.
