See below ~

Explanation:

Question #1

  • 80 vitamin gummies
  • Usage rate = 2 per day for 40 days
  • Remaining = 80 - 2(40) = 80 - 80 = 0

Question #2

  • 90 jelly bean vitamins
  • Usage rate = 3 per day for 40 days
  • Remaining = 90 - 3(40) = 90 - 120 = -30

Answer:

Question 1:

So you have 80 gummies and take 2 a day for 40 days

2(40) = 80

So at the end of 80p days, 0 gummies will be left

Question 2:

Now you have 90 and take 3 a day for 40 days

3(40) = 120

You will not have enough to cover the entire 40 days if you take 3 a day.

Hope this helps :)
