Answer: To summarize, large bodies of water tend to moderate the temperature of nearby land due to the high heat capacity of water. This high heat capacity results from both the higher specific heat of water and the mixing of heat throughout a greater depth over oceans

Answer:

Small bodies of water hold less mass/less water

Explanation:

Smaller the bodies of have less mass. The less mass in a body of water the less water there is for the the temp to change therefore smaller bodies of water change temps quicker that bigger bodies of water it has to change temps.
