answer is either 1 or 3.5

Explanation:

first you need to add all of the numbers together then divide by the amount of numbers ( in this case there are 4 numbers)

2+5+4+3=14

14/4=3.5 which gets you the mean

but sometimes it will want you to go a step further and do this-

finding the distance from each number from the mean found like this!

3.5-2=1.5

5-3.5=1.5

4-3.5=.5

3.5-3=.5

then add these together

1.5+1.5+.5+.5=4

then 4 divided by tghe amount of numbers which is 4

4/4=1 so that is taken a step further but the answer is either
