When will the object be 1000 feet above the ground?
How many seconds did it take for the object to hit the ground?
How many seconds did it take for the object to reach 1000 feet

Answer:

time = 0 seconds

Time to hit ground = 7.906 seconds

time = 0 seconds

Explanation:

t = 0

-16(0)^2 +1000 = 1000

Time for ball to reach ground:

-16t^2 +1000 = 0

-16t^2 = -1000

t^2 = -1000/-16

t = squareRoot (-1000/-16) = 7.906 seconds
