4 1/3 - (-2/3) = 5
4 1/3 + 2/3 (two negatives together makes a positive)
1/3 + 2/3 = 3/3 = 1 (when adding numbers with the same denominator, bottom number, add the top numbers. if the numerator, top number, and denominator are the same number, it becomes 1)
4 + 1 = 5
