  • x=10
  • y= -4

Explanation:

  • Simultaneous equations
  • 3х + 8y = -2
  • -3х – 6у = -6​
  • (3)3х + 8y = -2
  • 9x + 24y = - 6
  • (4)-3х – 6у = -6​
  • -12x-24y=-24
  • 9x = - 6
  • -12x= -24
  • -3x=-30
  • 3x=30
  • x=30/3
  • x=10
  • Put x back into equation
  • 3х + 8y = -2
  • 3(10) + 8y = -2
  • 30 + 8y = -2
  • 8y= -2-30
  • 8y= -32
  • y= -32/8
  • y= -4
  • Verify solutions
  • -3х – 6у = -6​
  • -3(10) - 6(-4)= - 6
  • -6=-6
