• Option A: 15% off an annual subscription of
$86
• Option B: pay $6.50 per month
How much will a customer save by purchasing
the annual subscription over paying per month?

Answer:

$ 4.9 less if you pay the annual subscription

Explanation:

What we should do is calculate each of the options and then compare

option A:

worth $ 86 but with a 15% discount, therefore:

86 * 0.15 = 12.9

We deduct this from the original value:

86 - 12.9 = 73.1

Option A is for $ 73.10

option B:

each month is $ 6.50, so multiply by 12, the number of months of the year:

6.5 * 12 = $ 78

Option B comes out for $ 78

if we subtract both options we are left with:

78 - 73.1 = 4.9

that is, they are $ 4.9 less if you pay the annual subscription
