The image above shows the periodic table of elements colored to show the trends of ELECTRON AFFINITY. Based in the knowledge you have acquired through the course of physical science, the following statement can be said about the image:

a)

The elements that are colored in grey are the ones that have higher electron affinity, they are also the most common.

b)

The elements that are colored with the most intense green are the ones that have higher electron affinity, so they tend to gain electrons.

c)

The elements that are colored in gray correspond to the elements with lower electrom affinity, this means that they tend to gain electrons.

d)

The elements that are colored with the most intense green correspond to the exceptions to the rule of the electron affinity trend.

e)

The elements that are colored with the most intense green are the ones that have lower electron affinity, they are gases.

I think it’s C because those elements tend to gain electrons while the deepest shade of green tend to give electrons
