First find all sides of the triangles using Pythagorean’s Theorem
For the bigger ones: 24^2+b^2=26^2
576 +b^2=676(subtract)
b^2= 100(square both sides)
b = 10
So that’s the height for both the big and little triangle let’s find all three sides of the little one now
6^2+10^2=c^2
36+100=c^2
136=c^2
11.6=c

Area of a triangle = root(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)) where s=1/2perimeter

Big triangle s=1/2(24+26+10)=30
Root(30(30-24)(30-26)(30-10))
Root(30*6*4*20)
Root(14,400)
120*2 bc there’s two big triangles 240 cm^2

Lil triangle s=1/2(6+10+11.6)=13.8
Root(13.8(13.8-6)(13.8-10)(13.8-11.6)
Root(13.8*7.8*3.8*2.2)
30*2 bc there’s two lil triangles
=60cm^2

Add the areas of four triangles together
=240+60= about 300cm^2
