Plato and the Soul.
A. Plato believed that our souls died with our physical bodies.
B. Plato believes our souls were the shadows on the cave walls.
C. Plato believed our souls did not exist. We as humans desire our existence to continue after death so we make up the idea of soul to comfort ourselves. Yet the soul does not exist. It is only in our hopeful heads; a comforting idea.
D. Plato believed that our souls were eternal.
E. Our souls exist beyond this earthly world and prior to our existence in the physical world
F. Plato never mentions the idea of souls in his works.
