Given:

4x − 6 = 10x − 3 ; Solve for "x" ;

Let us add "3" to each side of the equation;

and subtract "4x" from each side of the equation:

______________________

4x − 6 + 3 − 4x = 10x − 3 + 3 − 4x ;

______________________

to get:

______________________

-3 = 6x ;

______________________

6x = -3 ;

______________________

Now, divide Each Side of the equation by "6" ;

to isolate "x" on one side of the equation;

and to solve for "x" ;

______________________

6x / 6 = - 3 / 6 ;

to get:

x = - 3/ 6 ;

= -(3)/(6) = -((3/3))/((6/6))=-(1)/(2) .

→ which is: Answer choice: [A]: "
x = -1/2 " .
