Need to explain why equations 3x +12 = 6 and -2 =4 -3x isn’t equivalent

the first equation will equal a positive number while the second one is negative

1st equation x= 2
2nd equation x= -2

3x+12=6 will give you x=2
And
-2=4-3x will give you x=-2
