Answer:

  • x = 1, y = 5 or (1, 5)

Explanation:

Given

  • y = 4x + 1
  • y = x² + 2x + 2

Equating them

  • 4x + 1 = x² + 2x + 2
  • x² - 2x + 1
  • (x - 1)²
  • x = 1

Substituting x in the 1st Equation

  • y = 4(1) + 1
  • y = 5

Solution :

  • x = 1, y = 5 or (1, 5)
