Answer: What is the probability of choosing a pen from the first box? It is 5/8.

What is the probability of selecting a crayon from the second box? It is 3/12 = 1/4.

The probability of picking a pen from the first box and a crayon from the second box is 5/8 x 1/4 = 5/32.

Hope this helps :)
