\huge\boxed{10.6}

This may not be too much, but here's my explanation...

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}16^2-12^2=B^2\\256-144=√(112)\\√(112)=10.583\\10.583=10.6. \end{array}\right]

Mods, if i am not doing this correctly and you see this just delete the answer i am new to pythagorean theorem.

Answer: 10

Step-by-step explanation: Ok, so let's use the Pyhagorean Theorem of course.

a² + b² = c²

12² + b² = 16²

x + 144 = 246

246 - 144 = 102

b = 102

√(102)

b = 10

I hope this is what you were looking for, have a good day!
