Answer: 6

Explanation:

-(2)/(3)x+9=(4)/(3)x-3

Subtract
(4)/(3)x from both sides to leave variables on the left.

-(4)/(3)x-(2)/(3)x+9=(4)/(3)x-3-(4)/(3)x

-(4)/(3)x-(2)/(3)x+9=-3

Now subtract 9 from both sides to isolate independent variables on the right.

-(4)/(3)x-(2)/(3)x+9-9=-3-9

-(4)/(3)x-(2)/(3)x=-3-9

Combine like terms;

-(6)/(3)x=-12

Simplify;

-2x=-12

To completely isolate x, divide by -2

(-2x)/(-2)=(-12)/(-2)

x=6
