Answer:

12 multiple choice questions

Explanation:

The system of equations is:

m + t = 19 (quantity of questions)

6m + 4t = 100 (point value)

We use elimination to solve.

Multiply everything in the first equation by 4.

4m + 4t = 76.

subtract that from the second equation.

2m = 24

Divide both sides by 2.

m = 12

Answer:

Explanation:

Let x be the number of true or false questions.

Let y be the number of multiple choice questions

Total questions = 19

x + y = 19 ---------------(i)

Total points = 100

4x + 6y = 100 ---------------(ii)

Multiply equation (i) by (-4).

(i)*(-4) -4x - 4y = -76

(ii) 4x + 6y = 100 {Now add. thus x will get eliminated}

2y = 24

y = 24/2

y= 12

There were 12 multiple choice question
