if you divide 2.25 by 5 it is .45 then you do .45 times 8 then it equals 3.60.
so the answer is 3.60

well, here we go
Let the cost of 8apples =x
5 apples equals $2.25
8 apples will cost= x
x= 8×2.25/5=3.60
