The temperature in Chicago is dropping at a rate of 1 degree every 4 hours when it was 10 degrees outside. The temperature in Pittsburgh was increasing at a rate of 3 degrees every 4 hours when it was 2 degrees outside. How long will it take the two cities to reach the same temperature? What is the temperature at that time?

Answer:

Chicago after 8 hrs it dropped to 8 degrees and at pittsburgh after 8hrs passed it reached to 8degrees outside

so after 8hrs the cities reached the same temperature which is 8degrees

Explanation:

10-1=9 then 9-1=8

1= each degree that dropped every 4 hours
