Explanation:

To find the area of a triangle you need the base length and the height of the triangle

I used the Pythagorean theorem to find the height


h^(2) +2.1^(2)=3^(2)

I used 2.1 because the height will split the base in half

h=2.1

Now that we have the height you plug that into the Area formula


(1)/(2) bh


(1)/(2)(4.2)(2.1)= 4.41
