Explanation:

Surface area is the area of all the sides

The area of the rectangular base is W x L = 30 x 30 = 900

Then to find the area of the triangles its
(1)/(2)bh

A =
(1)/(2) 30 x 20

A =
(1)/(2) 600

A = 300

Since there are 4 triangle faces on a pyramid we times 300 x 4 = 1200 is the area of all the triangles

Then we add the area's

1200 + 900 = 2100
