I think of a number, multiply by 2, subtract 6 and then divide by 4. If the answer is -8, what is the original number?

-13

Explanation:

you just start from -8 and work backwards.

so it's -8 multiply 4 to get -32, then add 6 to get -26, then divide 2 to get -13.

when you check from the beginning with -13, then it fits and the answer is -8!
