The area of a kite is the product of the diagonals divided by 2.

If the diagonals have lengths a and b, then area = ab/2

area = ab/2

a = horizontal diagonal = 2 m + 6 m = 8 m

b = vertical diagonal = 3 m + 3 m = 6 m

area = (8 m)(6 m)/2 = (48 m^2)/2 = 24 m^2
