20. If you add the same amount of heat to a kilogram of water and a

kilogram of gold, would they both be the same temperature? If not,
which would be higher? Why? Assume that both start out at the same
temperature.

No, water’s will be higher
Because regarding Q=mc [delta teta]
Water’s c (specific heat) is higher, so giving the same heat to the same masses of gold and water, will cause a greater increase in water’s temperature

Gold’s specific heat: 0.129 j/g
Water: (about) 4.2 j/g
