Mr. Kessler bought 12 packs of toilet paper...that's where it all went...he spent a total of $78. If you are using the equation method to find the unit rate, which would be the independent quantity, the "x" value (the one that you want to be a value of 1)?

The 12 packs would be the x value because it does not depend on anything the price is dependent because it depends on how much you buy.
