(50 + 4)*(50 + 4) = 50*50 + 8*50 + 16

= 2500 + 400 + 16 = 2916 sq cm.

10. 24 in * 36 in. = area of rectangle

get: (30 - 6)*(30 + 6) = 30^2- 6^2

= 900 - 36 = 864 sq. in.
