2. Read the excerpt from page 111."I had never held a gun that long before and it frightened me. The closest thing to it had been a toy gun made out of bamboo when I was seven. My playmates and I carved them and played war games in the coffee farms and unfinished buildings at my grandmother's village. Paw paw, we would go, and whoever did it first would announce to the rest whom he had killed." What is the impact of this excerpt on the tone and meaning of Chapter 12?

Answer:

The impact of this excerpt shows that the person was very scared, being that they have never held a real gun for that long before, and the situation they are in is very dangerous and terrifying. They bring up the closet thing to it was a toy bamboo gun when they were seven, and this displays how once it was a game, just a toy, and now it is real life. (sorry this probs isn't that helpful but i tried my best :)
