Friar Laurence is the one who devises the plan that will allow the lovers to reunite. He helps Romeo get into Jul.iet's room. He also devises the plan of giving Ju.liet a sleeping potion. Overall, the Friar does a good job of following through with the plan. However, his letter warning Romeo of the plan does not reach him in time, leading to the tragic downfall of the characters.
