You can best describe a PAC as an organization that gathers and pools donations and contributions from their members in order to fund a campaign or to go against legislations, ballots, or a candidate. An example would be SarahPAC, a PAC founded after Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska and it’s purpose was to endorse candidates for various positions in office and then assist them in local chapters.
